What an awesome day to be part of the Northern Lehigh community as the Bulldogs not only beat Schuylkill Haven 2-0 in 10 innings to win the District XI 2A Championship but also hours later come from behind to beat Calvary Christian in a state play-in game 8-6.
The Bulldogs completed their suspended game with Schuylkill Haven scoring 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning to claim the victory. The player of the game was Pitcher Alicia Horn who was just dominating striking out 20 batters in the Championship game.
The day wasn’t over just yet for the Bulldogs as they returned to Slatington with a Parade. Next up the PIAA tournament with he Bulldogs playing District 12 runner-up Philadelphia Academy Charter on Monday. Game time is set for 2pm at Pates Park in Allentown.
