Pleasant Valley cruises past Pocono Mountain East with a 60-37 win

Pleasant Valley came into tonight’s game looking for a big first win. After a disappointing defeat to Wilson, the Bears were looking to right the ship. Nevertheless, Pleasant Valley won 60-37.

The Bears started slow in the first quarter as they trailed Pocono Mountain East 16-13. However, Pleasant Valley would play great defense only allowing one point for the entire second quarter. Leaving the first half, the Bears had a commanding 28-17 lead.

Heading into the start of the second half, junior teammates Shelby Joyner and Marcus Arce led the way. They both would lead the team in scoring with Arce, 15 points, and Joyner, 12 points. This led the Bears to a 60-37 victory over Pocono Mountain East. 

Now Pleasant Valley has a 1-1 record and a lot of momentum heading into their next game. With Pleasant Valley having to go on the road for their next five games. They play East Stroudsburg North next on December 12th with hopes of repeating what they accomplished against Pocono Mountain East.
