Stroudsburg Mountaineers Varsity defeats Pleasant Valley, 7-2

An early lead helped the Stroudsburg Mountaineers’ Varsity softball team defeat Pleasant Valley 7-2 on Monday. Stroudsburg Mountaineers’ Varsity scored on a double by Jamie Bittiger in the first inning, a single by Abigail Weiss in the first inning, a single by Bailey Goldberg in the first inning, a double by Regan Englehart in the second inning, and a single by Bittiger in the second inning.

Kinley Gioglio got the win for Stroudsburg Mountaineers’ Varsity. She allowed six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out one and walking zero. Lilah Guthy threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Stroudsburg Mountaineers’ Varsity racked up 11 hits on the day. Englehart, Weiss, Amber Kishbaugh, and Bittiger all managed multiple hits for the Mounties. Englehart led the team with three hits in three at bats.
