Girls
A significant increase in athletes will provide much needed depth that was lacking last
year. We lost three talented seniors to graduation, but plenty of athletes return. Senior
captains Emma Martinez and Sam Perloni will provide veteran leadership for an influx of
younger athletes. Sophomore Nataly Walters and Martinez return as the top point
scorers, along with junior thrower Jessica Heydt and junior jumper Emma Snyder.
Walters competed in four events at the state meet in 2022 and is looking forward to
continued improvement.
Boys
Despite losing several talented athletes to graduation, we believe there is potential for
much success this season. Seniors Owen Hibell, Dylan Hartranft, Jordan Mann, and
Aaron Simpson lead a strong group of distance runners. Senior Justin Herrmann, last
year’s district champion in the 110 hurdles, returns with his sights set on another trip to
states. Seniors Devon White, Reilly Burke, Alec McCarty and a talented group of
juniors will provide significant points in a variety of events.
