Coaches Comments: Abel has been our best pitcher since he stepped on the mound as a freshman. A power pitcher in every sense of the word, he had his best performance at Wilson during his sophomore year when we almost pulled off the upset. With a lively fastball and nasty slider he racked up double-digits in K’s that day. As our cleanup hitter he also plays a big role in our offense. Again, as a sophomore, he talled his first home run at Salisbury which proved to be the difference in a tight 8-7 game. After last year’s lost season, he was primed to have a dominant senior year, but an injury in basketball has set him back. He is working hard to return to the diamond and we hope to have him back in the second part of the season.
