Bron Holland was and still is a staple at Bangor High School. Having won Championships as both a player and a Coach, Holland took the Slater program to the next level. In 12 years as the Head Coach for the Boys Basketball team, Holland guided his teams to 217 wins and five Colonial League Championships.
But in March, following the 2018-19 season, Holland stepped down as the Head Coach but will remain the Slaters Athletic Director. The search for his replacement sat next to him on the bench.
Colin Kessler, who has been an assistant at Bangor for 9 of the last 11 years takes over the program. The 2004 graduate of Pen Argyl High School is excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to the upcoming season. Kessler, who has been a teacher in the Bangor School District for the last 11 years, knows he has big shoes to fill but is ready for the challenge.
