My Experience On Press Row

I had the opportunity to sit on Press Row at the PPL Center Monday and Thursday night for EPC semi finals and finals. It was fantastic! I enjoyed being up close with all the different reporters, and having the players right in front of me was awesome! My dream is to sit on press row regularly for a sports team and be their sideline reporter. This experience was definitely a step in the right direction.

During the games, I was taking the stats and uploading the highlights. After the games I was doing post game interviews with players and coaches. This was definitely the highlight of my night! I enjoyed watching the fans in the arena screaming and yelling for their teams, making the atmosphere electric and enjoyable for everyone inside PPL Center.

Every now and then the crowd would boo the ref or scream when an opposing player was at the foul line. This made it feel like a college or NBA game. I loved seeing the fans of high school basketball come out and support their teams. It made it seem that high school basketball was the only thing to do that night. That’s how packed it was.

Overall, it was a great experience on press row and I am thankful for the opportunity. I look forward to future experiences on press row, and hopefully being able to accomplish my goal of being a sports broadcaster or sideline reporter.
