Two years ago, the Whitehall Zephyrs captured the District 11 5A Championship. Since that time, a number of things have happened. Brian Gilbert resigned to become the Athletic Director at Palisades paving the way for Justin Kondikoff to take over as an interim basis.
After the Zephyrs went 2-8 last year, another coaching change was made. While Kondikoff remains on the staff, Matt Senneca takes over as Head Coach. Senneca, most recently was the Offensive Coordinator at Emmaus and he will be joined at Whitehall with his dad Sam, who will serve as the Defensive Coordinator.
Senneca is excited about the makeup of this years team, which will be anchored by Senior Running Back Ali Barkley.
Whitehall will open with a Tri-scrimmage with Lehighton and Notre Dame on Saturday before kicking off the 2019 season at home against East Stroudsburg South on Friday August 23rd.
